Do Organic Skin Care Products Make Sense For Your Spa?

Organic skin care products have seen a huge spike in interest in women in the last ten years. All the big makeup companies have taken notice. Should you? What should your interest level be in organic skin care products, and do they even make sense for you and your spa?

The first question I would be asking is “What do my clients think?”. They watch the news. They see the reports. They have to know that the chemical based products they are currently using can’t be good for them in the long run. What do you do about that? Do you close your eyes and hope you can keep doing business the same? I think the prudent course is obvious.

The good news is that certified organic skin care products are not hard to break into. The bad news is that they are more expensive and that they present a bit of a marketing conundrum. You have to decide how you are going to brand yourself. If you are only going halfway, in that you are going to carry both organic and inorganic skin care products, you may find yourself losing the majority of the benefit of carrying them in the first place. If you brand yourself as having the best in organic skin care, it does not make sense to also carry “the bad stuff”, does it? Options are good, but you should commit to the branding that organic skin care presents.
