I teach high schoolers who are hard to please, and this ping-pong set was a life-saver. First and foremost, it is cheap. I don’t get paid that well. Even if I could afford a nicer set, it would probably get destroyed so quickly that it wouldn’t be worth the money. One issue is that if your table isnt the right width, it might not work out well. In my classroom we use 3 big tables and push them together, and the net is just as wide as the middle table is long, so it fits nicely. This set serves my purpose perfectly.
The paddles (wood portion) are well constructed overall, however, the rubber surface came loose on two paddles after only playing with them for a few days. I had some clear Liquid Nails Adhesive in a tube and put a little bit of that between the rubber and the wood. I imagine any glue or adhesive safe for rubber would also work. Ping pong.
