Usually something happens to set a person off and make them angry. People who have problems admitting to their anger and accepting responsibility for their actions often blame others for their problems. They have difficulty seeing any part of the situation as their fault. There is always something or someone to blame for their anger. Their fits of anger and temper tantrums are always blamed on something else.
Anger is a normal emotion with kids and with adults. Anger management for children is a special topic tho. When something happens or someone interferes with a person in a negative manner, it can cause them to become very angry.
The man was unable to support his family, he was on a fixed income and then the IRS came and wiped out his saving account because he ‘owed’ them money. That man had every right to become angry. However it was mismanaged. He was feeling many primary emotions, such as inadequacy, hopelessness, stress, defensive and worried. If he would have had the skills and coping mechanisms to deal with these anger issues before getting to the point of rage- he possibly would still be alive today.
Effective management of your emotions can save you a lot of trouble and will be more beneficial to your emotional well-being.
