Costume Ideas: Mario and Indian

With the fall season coming, it can only mean one thing, Halloween! What better way to get started on the holiday season then to have a costume ready? If you are facing a dilemma of choosing what to wear, look no further! By the time you finish reading, you will have two good ideas.

If you are a Nintendo fan, you know well who Mario is. The famous mario costume can make a great Halloween disguise and show your love for the game. The costume consists of a blue pair of overalls with a red sweater. You cannot look like Mario without a pair of white gloves and a fake moustache. Do not forget the red felt hat with the famous big red “M”.

If you are not much of a gamer, you can take the historic route. Indians or Native Americans, their politically correct name, have lived in North America long before the Halloween season started. The costume is modeled after these people who still exist today. Although there are many kinds of Native Americans, they are usually portrayed wearing a feathered headdress.

Other than the headdress, the Indian costume is a pair of pants and a long sleeve made from brown fabric. The fabric usually has a tattered design on the edges of the sleeves and pant legs. It also comes with accessories like leather straps and beaded jewelry. The outfit may include a play weapon like a bow and arrow or axe like the Indians used to use.
