A building survey will be carried out by a Hull building surveyor with the aim of preparing a report for their client. The survey and report are aimed at meeting the client’s specific requirements.
In order to do this the building surveyor and client draw up a Conditions of Service which confirms just how extensive the survey will be and how it will be reported. The report will result in detailed comments and guidance on such matters as the likely costs of any repairs and any other aspects which may be of concern to the client.
Building surveys can be conducted on a wide range of premises, modern and old – including listed buildings. They can also apply to domestic and commercial buildings, houses, flats, and for premises on leasehold.
A building survey looks at all aspects of the premises, such as the roof and chimney, walls, floors, doors and ceilings. The survey will also include an asbestos check.
