The home school concept seems to be one that more and more parents the world over are buying into. Homeschooling opinions vary though and a lot of the criticisms are aimed not so much as the academic side of homeschooled kids but the socialisation issues. In general, children, like adults, behave and learn from being around their peers. Not only is social interaction amongst our own tribes essential for growth and developing human skills, it also installs in us a competitive edge to a greater or lesser degree.

There are many articles written about this concern and the general evaluation tends to prove that some children at least who are taught at home, suffer these skills. There is a lot of information online about this very issue, some by experts and other by authority, that is those folks who have home schooled their kids and witnessed such issues of concern.

Like all debates there are those for and those against, but whichever way you look at this, it is most definitely a topic for further research.
